Multimorphic P3 Has Connected Pinball Feature

By Todd Russell Mar 29, 2025

Regularly here at PGM, we talk about the importance of connected pinball, which Stern is prominently at the forefront of the pinball companies with their Insider Connected service, see: OPINION: Stern Pinball has Feature Every Modern Pinball Needs and also the Insider Connected – PlayGamesMore category for regular coverage.

That said, there is another pinball manufacturer that is doing some interesting things with connected pinball that deserves noting: Multimorphic (https://www.multimorphic.com/)

Watched a video recently where it talks about a multiplayer online P3 game, Cosmic Cart Racing ($3,000 module, cover art pictured atop this article) that’s been available to buy and play for several years now. Think a little bit of Mario Kart Racing inspiration, though not nearly as graphical (missed opportunity!) meets pinball.

Internet/LAN Mode: Race over the network against other players on other machines! Battle each other in head-to-head gameplay. Play powerups against other players and try to beat them to the finish line!

Creative, and fun for pinball and something more likely seen with virtual pinball than any physical pinball game. Digging the concept and hoping more P3 game modules use this type of internet-connected multiplayer online feature.

Not owning a P3 myself, only playing on location, I have missed and since noted some connected gaming options available to P3 customers that are worthy of additional exposure versus simply an UPDATE on prior PGM articles, as would normally be the case.

Recently, I had a chance to play several P3s including the newest Portal at Texas Pinball Festival 2025 and was impressed with several of the games, see: Unpacking random thoughts after attending first Texas Pinball Festival 2025 with pics + Humpday Wednesday 3/26. I’m warming up more to P3 after seeing and playing more. Don’t think I’d buy one new, the prices are just too high to me, but if saw one used at great price that came with several modules?

Do you, too, wish more P3 were on location to play?
