SPECIAL LIVE EVENT – 9/14/2023 @ 8am PST (GMT-8) – Mortal Kombat 1 (2023) Preorder Launch Stream – First Look + Play in 4K

If you’d like to see how the new Mortal Kombat 1 (2023) looks and plays at maxed 4K settings, it is being released 5 days early for preorders and today is your day to GET OVER HERE to twitch.tv/playgamesmoredotcom. Yes, I laid down the 100 bones and am ready to get in the Kombat zone and play all that the new MK has to offer and share that wild, bloody fighting gameplay live on the stream with all who stop on by. Here’s the live launch party event details:

STARTS: TODAY – Thursday 9/14/2023 at 8am PST (GMT-8) – Mortal Kombat 1 (2023) is going live at 10am PST, so expect some prior version(s) of MK to be played prior to the new MK to get us all in the full-on MK mode. Let’s take a look at the official launch trailer for a teaser:

NOTE: the worldwide launch for Mortal Kombat 1 (2023) is Tuesday 9/19, so this 5-day early window is a bonus incentive for preorder customers. They are throwing in some additional goodies for the premium edition which include:

Premium Edition: This edition of the classic fighting game is a fantastic choice for fans who want even MORE! It includes six new playable characters, five additional Kameo characters, one week of Early Access to DLC characters, and a skin for Johnny Cage: Jean-Claude Van Damme!

As mentioned during the live Humpday Wednesday twitch stream, I rarely preorder AAA games, but the MK franchise/IP is in my top 3 personal favorite fighting games. This one seems to have some RPG elements added for progressing characters, a season mode that they are saying will not cost any additional fee. I don’t know know what these in game Dragon Krytsals are used for, but my guess is they are for cosmetics(?) which I don’t typically care much about, however I will buy additional special characters if they can be used to play in the game and/or other DLC game-oriented content that is more than simply cosmetic, so maybe these Dragon Krystals will be used for that. There are speculative articles and vids out there, but don’t want to link to that, because the official source is only saying they will be used for microtransactions.

At the time of this writing/update, an embargo for consoles must have been lifted, because several different places are streaming MK1 already on their MK versions received from Warner Bros and more coverage is being released showing resolution comparisons between Xbox S, Xbox Series X, PS5 and PC (capped at 2K).

The Series X and PS5 versions look really good at 2K resolution. I am very curious to see how this looks at 4K on PC tomorrow morning and preferably higher FPS than 60. Will find out today, join us!

Spread the love
