Season 2, Week 2 of Score Chasing begins Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 12:00:01 PST (GMT-8) featuring the Nintendo classic: Mario Bros., the arcade version. This article will tell you everything you need to know about how to join our group and play Mario Bros.
PLEASE NOTE: this score chasing event is for adults, age 18 and older, so if you aren’t yet 18, then please return when you are.
First, let’s learn more about Mario Bros. (Arcade). A little history, via Wikipedia:
Mario Bros.[a] is a 1983 arcade video game developed and published by Nintendo. It was designed by Shigeru Miyamoto and Gunpei Yokoi, Nintendo’s chief engineer. Italian twin brother plumbers Mario and Luigi exterminate creatures emerging from the sewers by knocking them upside-down and kicking them away. The Famicom/Nintendo Entertainment System version is the first game produced by Intelligent Systems. It is part of the Mario franchise, but originally began as a spin-off from the Donkey Kong series.

This will take you directly to the official PGM iScored Score Chasing Scoreboard at the spot where you will enter your score on Mario Bros. (Arcade). Where can you play this game? Here are a few suggestions (alphabetical order) but is not a complete list by any means:
- Arcade – yes, check your local area for barcaes, arcades, mallcades, etc. You might have an Asteroids Deluxe arcade machine nearby and play might still be a quarter!
- Nintendo Switch – Arcade Archives: Mario Bros. ($7.99, price varies, store link)
- Various Emulated / MAME / CoinOpsX / etc – emulated versions of Mario Bros. (Arcade) are allowed, but we do not typically link to these sources
Now that you have located where to play Mario Bros. (Arcade), simply start playing to establish your personal best score. The goal of score chasing is not a typical leaderboard high score, be the top score tournament. We simply want you to play and beat your personal best.
