These headphones are pretty futuristic: they work like an electroencephalogram (EEG) and measure how mentally focused you are on a task. Think Fitbit-like sensors, only not measuring heartrate and pulse during cardio, but your brain activity. The more mentally focused you are, the more points scored? Kinda wild, indeed.

The MW75 Neuro (https://www.neurable.com/ecommerce-products/mw-75-neuro) headphones cost $699 USD per pair, which is somewhere north price-wise of the Meta Quest 3 and Steam Deck, but not too crazily priced out like the Apple Vision Pro (Apple Vision Pro Owner INTERVIEW: “Definitely Wouldn’t Recommend for Gamers” says PGM Member Mike DG). The headphones are advertised as “limited quantities”, believe that or not at your shopping peril, these aren’t something I’m likely to buy.
Just not in that world where I buy all the new gadgets and tech any more, but these headphones fit the area where I used to really dig checking out and reporting on (productivity + entertainment-related).
Hard to resist the sales pitch: “Work Smarter, Not Longer.
See when and where you focus best so you can optimize your day, help avoid burnout, and boost your productivity” — but then you see the $699 and think, man, am I really going to wear these things that much?
