Back in December 2023, we reported on an upcoming Netflix Anime Terminator project slated to come out in 2024 (Coming to Netflix in 2024 – Terminator: The Anime Series – Will It Be Better Than Dark Fate? Are There Any Good Terminator Games?). Ultimately, this project was called Terminator Zero and 8 episodes were released on Netflix August 29, 2024.
Somehow, this slipped by this author’s radar, as there was interest in seeing this. And then we canceled our Netflix subscription. Luckily, our adult kids kept theirs so I planned to watch at least some of this in preparation for this follow-up piece and, well, because I wanted to see if it didn’t suck. It’s been quite some time since I’ve seen any good Terminator.
Well, I watched it and … it was like a lot of other Netflix content that we didn’t see worth keeping the subscription. It was something to watch a little bit of, like it filled up time, but it wasn’t an amazing watch. Netflix is good at commissioning a ridiculous amount of TV and movie content like this. I’ve found that YouTube can fill this “I want to watch some stuff that doesn’t make me think too hard” niche.
