It’s not often someone sells a pinball machine in their home, themed about that person, while it is currently the newest pinball machine for that manufacturer. In fact, this might be the first time it’s ever happened(?)
Elton John is hanging up his music touring gloves — assuming he doesn’t come out of retirement like so many other musicians have — and, accordingly, is selling some (all?) homes he has in the United States as well as other personal items in these homes. Somewhat ironically one of the items up for sale in the auction will be the newest Jersey Jack Pinball machine made after himself.
John declared himself a Pinball Wizard in the 1975 hit that begins with the lyrics: “Ever since I was a young boy, I’ve played the silver ball. / From Soho down to Brighton I must have played them all.” It is estimated at $10,000 to $15,000, and the proceeds from this lot will go to the Elton John Aids foundation.

It’s my understanding that Elton John received several Jersey Jack Pinball machines, perhaps to put in multiple homes and/or to be put up for auctions like this. Wonder how many plays this EJ has that’s going up for auction? Clearly, it’s HUO (Home Use Only). Sir Elton did sign it, too!

Did Elton John actually play this EJ machine himself, or was it something he bought and was purely decorative for his pad?
