Did you know Elvira: The Arcade Game was never in the arcade?

Streamers play the darndest games. That’s a compliment, not a diss, as I’m a huge Twitch fan. I still kick myself for not diving into it sooner. The live gamer action is primarily on Twitch, not YouTube. It’s one of several reasons I’ve spent over 2,000 hours live streaming on Twitch the last three years at https://www.twitch.tv/playgamesmoredotcom

Stumbled into a Twitch stream recently from Australian follow Amiga Cammy (https://www.twitch.tv/amiga_cammy) playing an Elvira game I do not remember and have not played called Elvira: The Arcade Game. Cammy was streaming playing the game on the Amiga, but there were also ports in 1991 to DOS, Atari ST and Commodore 64.

I’ve always associated Elvira gaming-wise to pinball. There are some fun pinball games themed around the Mistress of the Dark like Scared Stiff, Party Monsters and Stern Pinball Elvira: House of Horrors. After digging around, I learned this video game with “arcade” in the title was never an actual arcade game. That’s a good Elvira game trivia question.

Mobygames has a bunch of details on Elvira: The Arcade game here: https://www.mobygames.com/game/5572/elvira-the-arcade-game/

The reviews at the time for Elvira: The Arcade Game, at least the Amiga version are decent:

We’ve covered the massive amount of games at PGM before, see: With 270,000+ games, Gamers are hopelessly outnumbered + National Card Playing Day so there are going to be games that we want to check out that came out in the past. This game is nearly 35 years old!

Have you played Elvira: The Arcade Game before? If so, what did you think? Good game? Worth finding and playing?
