Some time ago we covered the Alan-1 Atari Asteroides Deluxe: Recharged game here: Atari Partners with Alan-1 to Release Coin-op Improved Versions of Atari Recharged Games
This is a game I wish more operators would put on location. I’m going to talk to my vendor friend, Candyman, about this game. $6,499 for the 2-player pro version is high, but not terrible for a modern arcade game. Most of the Raw Thrills new games are over $10,000.
The 4-player Deluxe version takes up ridiculous space and is more like $13,000, but the 2-player version seems like it would fit in an arcade nicely. I don’t know how well this would earn, there’s that to consider of course, but it plays great. In fact, if you like playing Asteroids in the arcade, you’ll like playing this with the familiar button controls. Good stuff.
Alan-1 is also making a Missile Command Recharged cabinet (https://alan-1.com/product/missile-command-recharged-pro/).

At PGM when we ranked all the Recharged games, Missile Command was near the bottom, see: 10 Atari Recharged Steam/PC Games Ranked. Dual trackball on a Missile Command looks cool … not sure how the game will play, however …
One of the things I brought up during the (NO) Blue Monday stream yesterday was that it is cool that Alan-1 has an app for score chasing and tracking, leaderboards and tournaments. They call it MLES and it’s available here: https://www.mles.com/
Reiterating here that this is the way. Release arcade games with this sort of functionality as stock. It’s like Stern Insider Connected — only with arcade games. I didn’t try the app out, and that means it might suffer in some other ways, so take this as you will, but I like the concept very much.
