9+ years ago Magic Pixel ran Indiegogo for Zaccaria Pinball development, now they’re flirting with AI artwork

Recently, Zaccaria Pinball received an update. It’s a bit controversial for some, because they are using AI generated art for some of the new and remakes of Zaccaria pins. Due to Steam rules for developers they had to add this:

I looked over some of their new artwork in a recent livestream and had mixed feelings on it. Before we get to that, what about this Indiegogo (https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/zaccaria-pinball-for-pc-mac-linux#/updates/all) Magic Pixel ran in 2016?

In particular, check out the $70,000 stretch funding goal:

Despite comments from the Hungary developer that “the response” was a success, it seems they only raised a bit under $2,500 of the $10,000 they hoped for with 76 backers.

Despite the actual results, Magic Pixel not only released Zaccaria Pinball for Steam, over the last 9 years they’ve released most of the features they promised in this listing.

Up until recently, it’s been fairly quiet from Magic Pixel, with their big activity working with Atgames, offering modified versions of the Zaccaria pinball on the Atgames Legends Pinball HD and more recently the newer Atgames Legend Pinball 4K.
