A big game launch is coming about a week from this post. In the developer’s own words, “Starfield is the first new universe in 25 years from Bethesda Game Studios, the award-winning creators of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Fallout 4.”
After learning that Starfield has no multiplayer features to explore the 1,000 worlds (that’s a ton of exploration gaming time, btw), I’m a little less interested in playing it right away, but since it’s a Day 1 Game Pass title (and thus I won’t have to shell out $70-$100+USD to play), I’ll likely be checking it out either right away at/after midnight (if it’s available before the Humpday Wednesday Pinball live Twitch stream or afterwards.
This is too big a game for me not to prioritize playing it at/near launch, so that’s also extra-motivating me. Atop all that, I really like the idea of a space and planet exploration game. I’ve tried several over the years, but this one seems like it has the potential to fill that burning space exploration itch (without the insane amount of health risk if one was really out there).
