Season 3, Week 8 of Score Chasing begins Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 12:00:01 PST (GMT-8) featuring Contra, the arcade version. This article will tell you everything you need to know about how to join our group and play.

First, let’s learn more about Contra (Arcade). How is the game played via Contra – Videogame by Konami | Museum of the Game
You and an optional second player are commando-type characters in a scrolling shoot-em-up. At the end of each scene or world, there is a difficult bad guy to finish off. At various points there are stationary skill-type screens to get by.

This will take you directly to the official PGM iScored Score Chasing Scoreboard at the spot where you will enter your score on Contra (arcade). Where can you play? Here are a few suggestions (alphabetical order) but is not a complete list by any means:
- Arcade – yes, check your local area for barcades, arcades, mallcades, etc. You might have an arcade machine nearby and play might still be a quarter!
- Various Emulated / MAME / CoinOpsX / etc – emulated versions are allowed, but we do not typically link to these sources.
- Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch – search the stores for consoles for “arcade archives” as sometimes there are licensed versions of the games we feature available.
Now that you have located where to play, simply start playing to establish your personal best score. The goal of score chasing is not a typical leaderboard high score, be the top score tournament. We simply want you to play and beat your personal best.
