Instead of featuring a new game this Halloween week, we’re featuring a Steam sale that ends November 4th. Valve is calling this: Steam Scream Fest. They are featuring some 3D games and I’m a sucker for horror and 3D.
It’s that time of the week again to check for noteworthy game releases for PC/Steam, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch via Metacritic. We also discuss these games live on the High Noon with Hollywood Polo stream at noon Tuesdays PST (GMT-8) here: https://www.twitch.tv/playgamesmoredotcom including commentary from other PGM members, wishlist interest and more.

SUMMARY
Looking through this week’s new — well, mostly new, some are simply coming to different platforms — what’s missing this week of Halloween is more targeted focus on horror-themed games. This is the perfect week for scary new game releases. Slime3K? DLC for a fishing game? Horizon Zero coming to PC finally? Um, no. And what’s with the “new” Raiden game? I love the original Raiden and have liked some of the new games, but talk about a shooter series that frequently gets new games and the trivia answer is Raiden.
Probably the most well-timed, themed games this week? Vampire Hunterss and Shadows of the Damned: Hell: Remastered. Neither is calling out to me, but maybe you?
What new games — or maybe spooky-themed games — are you looking forward to this week?
