Stern Pinball Insider Connected Quest October 2 – 31, 2023: Jurassic Park Dino DNA

To celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Jurassic Park, Stern Pinball is running a Dino DNA quest. The details are located here: https://insider.sternpinball.com/quests/574 — to play in the quest, all you need to do is scan with your Insider Connected QR code on any Insider Connected Jurassic Park Stern Pinball machine from October 2 – October 31, 2023 and then collect the DNA strands from the following dinosaurs:

Let’s break down what is needed in more detail to achieve each of these five dinosaurs badges: Gallimiumus, Triceratops, Velociraptor, Spinosaurus and T-Rex, each requiring collecting Dino DNA strands:

1. Gallimimus – Login once a day on Jurassic Park five separate days in October 2023. Does not appear that they need to be consecutitve days. Not sure if it’s required to actually flip a game, but let’s assume to get credit for this achievement that this is required.
2. Triceratops (5x 15mil+) – Achieve a game score > 15,000,000 pts on 5 separate played Jurassic Park games.
3. Velociraptor (4x 35mil+) – Achieve a game score > 35,000,000 pts. on 4 separate played Jurassic Park games.
4. Spinosaurus (3x 75mil+) – Achieve a game score > 75,000,000 pts. on 3 separate played Jurassic Park games.
5. T-Rex (2x 150mil+) – Achieve a game score > 150,000,000 pts. on 2 separate played Jurassic Park games

Just a guess here, but if you play five games over 150 million points, you’ll collect 4 of the 5 badges. Only the Gallimimus badge will require multiple days playing Jurassic Park, or at least scanning your Insider Connected QR code, but why scan if you aren’t going to play. So this all could be done in five separate games over five different days in October. Keyword there is *could*. Doubtful that many players will complete it this way.

Collecting all five dinosaur badges during the event in October 2023 will earn the exclusive “30th Anniversary Jurassic Park” badge. Considering this author’s best score ever on Jurassic Park is only 105 million (see right), I have some work cut out this month to collect the two required T-Rex strands. Not many Jurassic Park pinball machines are immediately local to us, so will have to do a little bit of driving this month. Next Level Pinball Museum has one and for $22/day can play as many times as the machine is available, so will plan at least one two-day trip down there in the month of October 2023.

Gonna take a shot at this? Let us know in the comments below.
