This remains a very busy holiday season at my day job, and it’s taking most of my days in the field working. A PGM friend is teasing me saying I only work two months a year, which of course is inaccurate, but it’s funny.
What’s not so funny, however, is that I cannot make it to two of three weekly scheduled live streams on Twitch.
Unfortunately, have decided rather than just keep making last minute announcements and excuses week after week to cancel Humpday Wednesday live streams for the rest of 2024 and give me some space to get caught up at work.
The plan is to bring back the live stream at some point in the first quarter of 2025. This doesn’t mean we won’t still be celebrating Humpday Wednesdays here at PGM, but there will be no more Wednesday live streams for the final six weeks of 2024. There will also likely not be any scheduled weekly FX tournaments for the rest of 2024 either.
High Noon Hollywood Polo Show on Tuesdays is also canceled for the rest of 2024
Am also canceling the Tuesday High Noon Hollywood Polo show streams for the remaining six weeks of 2024. Again, the team I manage in my day job works Tuesday – Saturday + November & December are the busiest months in the business and I need to be in the field and/or additionally available to support which conflicts with being able to live stream this show on Tuesdays at noon PST as well as the Humpday Wednesday show.
Score Chasing Recap Sunday Stream at 6:30am is still very much on each week, please attend
We will still be streaming the Score Chasing Recap Show hosted by Bradygoat and I on Sundays at 6:30am-8:30am (PST).
I might also be streaming on Mondays here and there as well as select other random days and times, as possible, but the PGM scheduled live Tuesday and Wednesday streams are canceled for the rest of 2024.
Over the last couple years, I’m fast approaching 1,800 hours of live streaming on Twitch, so probably deserve some kind of break from multiple weekly live scheduled streams. Despite the numbers, this isn’t really a break from streaming, it’s a matter of conflict: most of these Tuesdays & Wednesdays I will be working in the field, not anywhere near the streaming setups (I have two locations that I regularly live stream from).
I was hoping to just miss a week or two and be back, but the future outlook of field work in my day job is not showing any signs after three weeks now of letting up. It will flatten out once the busy holiday season ends. The first quarter is always our slowest season in the business and the last two months, November and December are historically the busiest.
Also, and this might be somewhat insignificant, but holding the Humpday Wednesday numbering at 69. The next time we do a Humpday Wednesday scheduled live stream that numbering will be at #70. The numbers seem to me more relevant for show numbers than week numbers. I mean, if we don’t have a show then the numbers probably shouldn’t increment.
Lastly, no promises, but I’d like to do something a little different on Wednesdays for the next six weeks rather than just come on here and say “we’re not having a live stream today” so, friendly readers, would not expect any ongoing message about the live stream until it’s planned to and/or does return in 2025. In its place, let’s celebrate our motto: “play games more” — this is your chance to score chase some games you’ve been waiting to play.
For those that show up to these live streams, especially the folks that have literally watched hundreds and hundreds of hours (a couple folks are approaching 1,000 hours watching!), please accept my sincere apology while the show is not streaming and thank you always for watching and listening. Also, special thanks to moderator Vader4633 that tirelessly supports the streams whenever they are on. It is much appreciated.
In the meantime, you can and are greatly encouraged to score chase this week’s games with us: Tapper (Budweiser or Root Beer – Arcade) and Timber, see: Season 3 Week 11: Tapper + Timber – How to Join Us, Play, Beat Your Personal Best
Thanks for the update Todd. Good luck getting through the busy season at work.
Todd I hope you get some support from your boss so they next six weeks go thru smoothly. I know you can do it!!
