PGM Interview scheduled with Jaws + D&D Stern Programmer + More Zaccaria Pinball + Humpday Wednesday 2/26/25

By Todd Russell Feb 26, 2025

This past week we got to flip Stern’s newest RPG pin: Dungeons & Dragons: The Tyrant’s Eye (0.85 code) Stern Pinball Pro 2025 Detailed First Thoughts After Flipping on Location. My son and I were so interested, we returned to play again, and again. Was able to rack up 29 plays and a whole bunch of frenzied dragon battles. We’ll be playing this one more.

This has nothing to do with pinball, but here’s a cool D&D nugget. The fan favorite and 20 year old Neverwinter Nights (https://store.steampowered.com/app/704450/Neverwinter_Nights_Enhanced_Edition/) has DLC published for it by Luke Skull Anyone else befuddled that this ancient D&D video game just got a new DLC in 2025? | GamesRadar+. That game came with the Aurora Toolset allowing anybody to make their own modules and adventures.

This nearly endless expansion feature I had hoped for with Stern Pinball’s Dungeons & Dragons. Instead, we receive a changing dungeon every Sunday. I’m holding hope that future code might introduce some sort of way of expansions and modules. Insider Connected just lends itself to the very controversial possibility of DLC. Speaking of Stern Pinball code …

Have confirmed booking an upcoming interview with Stern Pinball’s programmer Elizabeth Gieske. She did some of the mode programming including the Topper exclusive mode on Jaws in 2024 and is also working on D&D programming along with Dwight Sullivan. This sure to be insightful interview will be live following the (NO) Blue Monday Show Monday 3/3/2025 starting at 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST on our Twitch channel: https://www.twitch.tv/playgamesmoredotcom. If you have D&D code-specific questions, you might want to put this on your calendar.

Skullbox686 Zaccaria Score Chasing Continues

The daily fun score chasing continues …

There are 40 total Retro games, so curious which category Skull will dip into next. We’ll find out at some point over the next week.

On the High Noon Hollywood Polo Show Tuesday 2/25/25 we had a spirited discussion about how Magic Pixel, developer of Zaccaria Pinball, has been treating virtual pincab owners in the community. Some (many?) virtual pincab owners are not happy and some are even boycotting playing the game. Meanwhile, Magic Pixel continues to crank up releasing updates with new games and bug fixes to outstanding issues. Depending on when you read this, you can listen to the archives of the show before Twitch dumps the archive (around two weeks from publish) and are welcome to leave comments below.

Official John Wick Accessories Announced, including $1,499 Hour Glass Topper

John Wick needs the code finished, yes, but in the meantime, Stern Pinball has announced (https://sternpinball.com/2025/02/20/lionsgate-and-stern-pinball-launch-full-line-of-john-wick-pinball-machine-accessories/) some new accessories this past week:

I will say it for the tenth time at least, that the artwork is still my most favorite part of this game. Beyond that, I’m not a fan of this game. Am hoping it turns out at least a little bit like Bond because I’ve seen Stern code change everything. Time will tell.

Rumored 2025 Stern Vault Remastered Pin is either The Walking Dead (says Jason Knapp), Ghostbusters, Tron or … ?

Yeah, yeah, we try not to get caught up in rumor speculation, but isn’t the next Tron movie coming? (see Scully joins cast of Tron: Ares + Will we get a good, new Tron game to play?) Wouldn’t it make most sense to launch a game in association with a new movie coming out?

License holders would likely say yes, but this may mean absolutely nothing. Knapp said he’s taking bets on TWD being the next Remastered Stern pin, coming later in the fall of 2025. I feel like that timeline is perfect for Tron and I have received exactly no intel. That’s a total guess.

  1. Hi Todd!

Are you planned on getting that new DLC for Neverwinter Nights? I mostly played on the free virtual worlds thru the servers. Should be a great interview on Monday. Loving that Magic Pixel is dropping so much table content lately, but I hope they also develop some humility and treat the Cabinet owners with respect as well.

    1. Hi Polo! I’m thinking about it, yes. I didn’t play this game at all, and I should have. It’s on my wish list and when it drops in price again, I’ll give it more serious consideration. The problem with these type games is the time involvement they require. That’s what holds me back from getting into it sooner. I’m finding games that I can get that quick “in, out, replay” are what appeal to me most with my current work schedule. Except for the game I’m “playing” on my phone that has literally been running for over a month now. That is a background game, that also looks at my daily activity.
