It’s another Humpday Wednesday and we’re here to get you over the hump. It’s hard not commenting on the inauguration this week because turn on the TV and it’s everywhere, but we don’t do politics or religion here, we do games.
Still, sometimes games do mix with those two subjects.
We all know a new US president has taken over and somewhat timely came across this Facebook Marketplace ad (https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1179457836844604/) with a reskinned Roller Coaster Tycoon featuring Trump.

From the sides, it’s really apparent that it’s Roller Coaster Tycoon reskin:

We’ve covered other political pinball machines before: Politically-themed Reskinned Dirty Harry Virtual Pinball at CPAC Exhibition Hall, it’s not something this author would ever want in the collection, but then again it’s not just because the theme doesn’t appeal to me, it’s an obvious reskin. I’m just not that thrilled with reskinned pinball machines, especially ones that don’t even go all the way. The side art is still Roller Coaster Tycoon? Get some new vinyl up there, at least.
You see a lot of reskins in the virtual pinball space Some of them look interesting, but there is just something off about reskins, that you have all these feelings about the original table with just different artwork in some cases. These are the worst kind of reskins. At least in the one mentioned above, they seemed to have done a bunch of call out audio replacements.
Seawitch was reskinned into The Beatles by Stern. It didn’t rank very highly on our last PGM list of Spike 2 Sterns: 2024 Ranking All 26 Spike 2 Stern Pinball Machines but did a little better in 2023 Ranking All 22 Spike 2 Stern Pinball Machines.
Am curious what readers think of reskins? Do you like them? What’s your favorite reskin pinball game?
