The “VR” part of this headline could be polarizing before even reading what follows. I’m always looking for creative ways of playing traditional games and/or creating new gaming subgenres.

What’s particularly compelling to me is the idea of an archer shooting a pinball into the machine from the perspective of where the flippers perspective, and we watch the bouncing, rolling and interaction inside the playfield. I don’t recall ever seeing another game quite like this, is there one? Anybody else?
As some readers know, I’m not very much into VR. It’s not that I’m against VR and/or actively dislike it, but physical discomfort and my poor eyesight prevents the enjoyment. That physical bias aside, what I have explored of VR, I’ve mostly enjoyed, and I’m interested in playing Bounce Arcade. I still have a barely played Quest 2 and hopefully this will be available for that when released.
Players will smack the balls back into the machine and rack up points, keeping the ball in play as long as possible just like traditional pinball, with various routes available to maximize score.

Velan Studios has setup a slick-looking website to promote Bounce Arcade, giving plenty of clues and seductive marketing hype like “PINBALL LIKE YOU’VE NEVER PLAYED BEFORE”
Also, “CHASE HIGH SCORES” and “NOSTALGIC PINBALL ELEMENTS” — these are all triggering FOMO-like interest from this author. Bounce Arcade can be wishlisted on Meta here:
