Yes, it’s a bad idea under any circumstances to post classified documents in gaming chat

I’m somewhat familiar with the game War Thunder (https://store.steampowered.com/app/236390/War_Thunder/).

Am also familiar with online chats becoming heated. What I’m not familiar with is the idea of posting classified documents online.

It goes without saying when things get heated online, posting classified documents in a chat room is not the answer. Apparently, a gamer wanting to prove knowing better did precisely that in a game of War Thunder.

“Players were discussing the capabilities of European fighter jet Eurofighter Typhoon while playing the popular online game War Thunder. The focus of the chat was regarding the scanning capabilities of the Eurofighter Typhoon’s Captor radar system. The fighter jet was recently added to the game.

The discussion soon turned into a heated debate, and minutes later a full-fledged verbal duel. Tempers flared, and in the heat of the moment, one of the players – just to prove his point – ended up posting a classified military document.” via Another Military Secret Leaked On Online Gaming Hub. How It Was Handled

Seriously, who does this? I mean who goes dipping into the dark web to find classified documents to make their point? Just to be right … over a game? Over anything? Dumb, dumb, dumb.
